In early February, the quarterly roundtable of TAB Hamburg met with representatives of the Senate at Hamburg City Hall. Four topic areas dominated the discussion:
1. Procurement practice
Several member companies reported hard-to-understand hurdles in public tenders. The Senate agreed to set up a procurement consultation day for mid-market applicants.
2. Administrative digitalisation
The association called for the digital business registration and recognition procedures to be bundled more consistently. The ministry referred to the already announced "one-stop" portal.
3. Education
We contributed best-practice examples from our members in which vocational schools and small companies jointly develop training models.
4. Bilingual communication
A proposal put forward by the association: official information for entrepreneurs with Turkish roots should be available bilingually by default. The Senate has agreed to a review.
The next roundtable will take place in May 2026. Members will be informed via the usual invitation list.
