The Türkischer Arbeitgeber Bund Hamburg welcomes the key points of the Hamburg Skilled-Labour Strategy 2026 presented on 19 March. From the perspective of the member companies we represent, the planned expansion of dual training places in trade and manufacturing in particular is an important signal to the Hanseatic economy.
What we support
- The planned establishment of regional recognition guides for professional qualifications from third countries.
- The increase in funding for vocational language support.
- The planned closer integration of vocational schools and mid-market companies.
Where we need refinement
From the practical experience of our member companies, we see two structural bottlenecks above all:
- Recognition procedures in Hamburg still take an average of six to nine months. That is too long by international comparison.
- Transitions from language courses into regular employment are not systematically supported.
Our offer
The association offers the Ministry for Economy and Innovation to document concrete points of friction in a structured practical review with ten member companies over six months.
